  1. you have 95% of your cap, why even bother running tweaktesters at this point? i cant help you get more speed, your settings is optimal VanBuren
  2. hey War_Dawg and welcome to the forum wireless is usally slower then wired but you can tweak the wireless and get closer to your cap follow these steps and post again https://testmy.net/topic-2097 VanBuren
  3. i vote for that too VanBuren
  4. hey flexy and welcome to the forum You are absolutly right, the settings allocate that amount of memory from your swapfile, i tryed both since Cablenut team also suggest this amount of buffers. The reason i also recommend them is simple, it gave me a small increasing of performance, when using big DefaultReceiveWindow and DefaultSendWindow. alot of ppl using these setttings and i have never heard anyone complaining that it allocate too much memory, infact the settings work great. Im glad to get feedback and if anyone like to test changing their settings from NEW settings: 200 InitLargeBufferCount x 819200 Bytes (LargeBufferSize) = 160.000kB = 160 MB ! 480 InitMediumBufferCnt x 150400 Bytes (MediumBufferSz) = 70.500kB = 70MB ! 640 InitSmallBufferCiunt x12800 Byes (SmallBufferSize) = 8.000kB = 8 MB ! to OLD css: 100 InitLargeBufferCount x 81920 Bytes (LargeBufferSize) = 8000kB = 8MB ! 240 InitMediumBufferCnt x 15040 Bytes (MediumBufferSz) = 3525kB = 3.5 MB 320 InitSmallBufferCiunt x1280 Byes (SmallBufferSize) = 400kB = 0.4MB and report back if the performance drop or increased, i would be glad VanBuren
  5. try this link https://testmy.net/topic-2097 VanBuren

  13. download Daemon tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/download.php that give you a viritual cdrom, so you can open the file VanBuren
  14. thanks Microwave when it comes to tweaking internet connections i have a very big patience, almost too big i want to squeeze out every bit possible the only tweaks i have some problems with right now is AFD tweaks with DSL, im still working on them and i will help if somone wants to try em out. the DSL tweaks in Version 3 is based on the old way to tweak without AFD change, it works but will never give the same boost. VanBuren
  15. I dont know, i guess it has to do with the retransmissions, the packets sends and receive in wrong order. but im not sure, alot of the info in that test is above my knowledge VanBuren
  16. very nice its a matter of balance, if you use too low RWIN your speed will drop and if your using too big the re transmissions increase however the re transmissions its not a big problem aslong as you get the speed happy surfing and keep visiting VanBuren
  17. if i remember it right you had a 3 Mbps download cap, that means you running about 95% of your cap on that test and then your modem will peak out and that will give you retransmissions aswell. VanBuren
  18. hey Indestructable There were 42 packets retransmitted thats not a good thing, however this probl change time to time depending on network traffic, i know we spent alot of time to finetune your settings and aslong you get the speed this is not a problem. VanBuren
  19. http://nitro.ucsc.edu/
  20. lower your RWIN in steps of 1460, so the next value is 64240-1460 = 62780 and the next 62780 - 1460 = 61320 good luck VanBuren
  21. hey ates and welcome to the forum try this open Dr.Tcp disable Time Stamping and change RWIN to 64240 click save reboot and do a new test VanBuren
  22. bypass your router, i cant fix your speed with that router.... VanBuren
  23. you must be loosing packets, and since you cant copy results, i cant see that use 2992 KB file when testing speed here, its most accurate also call your ISP and complain VanBuren
  24. do you have any other Tweaks beside Cablenut installed or used to have them installed? open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry download this http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe open Dr.Tcp make sure all is set to Default and erase all values you see so all fields is blank for all networks adapters, now click save open cablenut adjuster again, load the attached file again and click save to registry now reboot your pc VanBuren
  25. unplug your router and do new speedtests VanBuren
