  1. No way, my server aint running t h a t g o o d, also who needs another testsite when we have testmy.net ? VanBuren
  2. oh i see, my ISP has that too for ppl with adsl, vdsl. however those filters only bring down speed and make more damage then improving your connection. Alot of ppl has called my ISP support and asked them to remove that filter and speed got back and ping was great. Only ppl that live far away from CO need to use those filters. i remember one guy with vdsl 12/9 Mbps had a 32 ms ping to hes gateway, after ISP removed the filter he had 1 ms VanBuren

  8. I still think you have signal problems, normal ping to gateway is around 5-15ms check speed again, when you have speed drops compare testmy.net and speakeasy VanBuren
  9. those route maps is very inaccurate, i have a node here in sweden, says its in US.... VanBuren
  10. What speed do you have against http://nyc.speakeasy.net/ VanBuren
  11. try this http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=605 also make a traceroute to testmy.net start-run type cmd hit enter type tracert testmy.net and hit enter copy all and paste it here VanBuren
  12. Dr TCP and TCP Optimizer is very similar Dr TCP has no setting to choose from, you have to edit them by yourself, all can be restored to default windows values, just blank out all fields and leave all options on default + click save TCP Optimizer works for connections around and above 3 Mbps, but if you know how to use it you can also edit those values, make sure to backup your registry before you use it , cos if your ISP have a MTU not ecual to 1500 or 1492 you will have a big confict cos this program force your NIC to use that MTU, fragmated packets is a fact and slow speed. Cablenut the most advanced tool on the net works for any connection, this is for ppl with patience and like to finetune. Cablenut Team has setups for all types of connections, and i tuned them abit and made VanBurens

  14. thats sad, its like robbing ppl ping should be low like 5-15ms when you dont downloading/uploading and increase only when you reach your cap. seems like they limit your speed by changing the overall responsetime to your gateway. alot of gamers would hate that cos all they want is a low ping and use very small bandwidth. keep your RWIN as small as possible, try 8760 and if it dosent work, add 1460 each time, so next value is (8760+1460) = 10220, or try it reversed (8760-1460) = 7300 good luck VanBuren
  15. 1 45 ms 44 ms 44 ms gf-dyn-gateway.gtec.net [66.117.105.1] thats the problem your ping should be around 5-15 ms to that 1 hop. call your ISP and ask them to check signals for you, also show them this traceroute. good luck VanBuren
  16. dern Download 2,432,392 bps Upload 728,936 bps QOS 76% RTT 200 ms MaxPause 130 ms you have test on westcoast now? VanBuren

  18. Well i think its the only way to go right now VanBuren
  19. call your ISP and let them check your signals when you have crappy speed VanBuren
  20. that speedtest is not very accurate, its too small testfiles. Something is wrong cos i go faster then you and i know my latency to australia is 350 ms+ 152 kilobits per second Communication:152 kilobits per second Storage:19 kilobytes per second 1MB file download: 52 seconds advertised speed is the speed you pay for 1500/256 with 1500 Kbps you should be able to download a file in around 180 KB/s I suggest you find a fast server close to you and measure download speed from that. Make screenshots and send them to yous ISP. VanBuren
