  1. oh i thought you had a lower ping to testmy.net, try to change TcpWindowsize in my 100 Mbps file from 64240 to 338720 and change Tcp13230pts from 0 to 1 (windows scaling). Also set GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize to 338720. This TcpWindowsize will limit your speed to 10 MB/s on a 34 ms ping. good luck VanBuren
  2. np i love to help and i didnt write all myself i copyed some of it from other forums and pasted it, so much easyer VanBuren
  3. Try this 1. Under your LAN connection - properties - general tab, uninstall all the protocols there that you do not need. 2. Open IE and select tools - internet options - connections - LAN settings, make sure NOTHING there is checked. 3. ALWAYS connect your modem via ethernet (NIC) and make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC from the manufacturer. Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it is ISP dependent unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL (the instructions are in my Help & Tips link). If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware. 4. Power cycle your modem, unplug it for atleast 15 seconds. 5. Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot 1.2 http://beam.to/spybotsd & Ad Aware 6.0 http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download to remove any spyware then install and update SpywareBlaster to stay spyware FREE. YOU MUST USE BOTH AD AWARE & SPYBOT TO ENSURE YOU ARE SPYWARE FREE SINCE ONE FINDS WHAT THE OTHER MISSES. 6. If you have Zone Alarm as a firewall uninstall it then visit Zonelabs.com for further instructions on removing it's left over junk. 7. Install Outpost Firewall http://www.agnitum.com or Sygate Firewall http://www.sygate.com/ , both have FREE and Pro versions and are heads above ZA. 8. Scan for viruses with your antivirus app, if you do not have one get one IMMEDIATELY, AVG 6.0 http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php is an excellent FREE AV app. 9. Make sure you have ALL of the latest Windows Updates VanBuren
  4. I cant see anything wrong in your tweak test Maby your routing is bad against testmy.net Make a tracert start-run type cmd and hit enter type tracert testmy.net and hit enter make a ss or copy and paste it here you can also try other speedtest, close to where you live http://www.dslreports.com/stest?more=1 i know many dosent have upload test but some has good luck VanBuren
  5. Did you use the advanced steps or the Non advanced steps? try this tweak tester, post result URL adress here so we can see it http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks VanBuren
  6. Hey Gregorama you can try my tweak guide http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm VanBuren
  7. So i compared upload against Toast server http://www.toledorocket.com/perftest/uploadtest/fileselect.asp The result page didnt work for me both test but it was uploading so i took a ss instead of datarate, i was uploading a 20 MB file both times TCP optimizer My tweaks Conclusion, my tweak was faster and even faster on small testfile size check the boost up to 512 KB/s. 8. I compared my tweak with TCP optimizer overseas against your test luwigie, what i found out is that with my tweak the speed was the almost the same during whole time, but with TCP Optimizer it was changing alot. I was using the Cable settings in TCP optimizer, the Extream would just give me more packetloss. i made ss of both downloads at 50% My tweaks TCP optimizer Conclusion, there is no bigdiff in my tweak and TCP optimizer overseas with my type of connection. Atleast not for download, im kinda sure my upload would do better with my tweaks, compared to TCP optimizer. VanBuren
  9. Upload is no use tweaking you almost got your cap Run this tweaktester and post result URL adress here so we can see it http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks VanBuren
  10. I see your from NY, maby you got bad routing to testmy.net try this speedtest located in NY http://nyc.speakeasy.net/ If you get above 90% of your advertised cap then you dont need to tweak. VanBuren
  11. cool and ty for the info, i know BIG TcpWindowSize give you "full trottle" but the thing thats bugging me is that it can impact bad on upload. You have to use windows scaling if TcpWindowSize is above 65535 and when you get packetloss with that you will loose alot of speed. Thats probl why your result vary alot, if you got time it would be nice to see how your upload works with that settings and compare it with my tweak. VanBuren
  12. Glad it helped I think the tweak help more in uploading, post some upload stats btw what ping do you have to testmy.net? VanBuren
  13. Hopefully you get over 90% of your capped speed VanBuren
  14. Use the 100 Mbps file, i found a problem in that T3 file so i just updated it, if you still like to try it and compare speed, just redownload the .zip and overwrite the old one, or just change in that T3 file Defult Send Window to 5153587 VanBuren
  15. Dont change the RWIN in my 100 Mbps Fiber .ccs file I forgot to say that in my guide that you shouldnt use that RWIN calculator on fiberoptics cos you got very low ping to your first hop.... Reload the 100 Mbps fullduplex.ccs file and dont change anything click save to registry, then reboot Your RWIN should be 64240 I will edit my Tweakguide Tnx for reporting back VanBuren
  16. https://testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=605 VanBuren
  17. yea, try this tweak guide i made, i got a file made for fiber optic 100 Mbps already, try that, just follow the guide here http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm good luck VanBuren
  18. Very nice dude What tweak do you use? If you use cablenut i think i can help you boost up your upload aswell VanBuren
  19. Yea sounds like a routing issue, cos you dont"get bumped up" to the bigger file. Make a tracert to testmy.net start-run and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter again. As for the speed from my server im almost sure you dosent use any tweaks To get 10 Mbps overseas eg ping 150 ms you need a RWIN of atleast 186880 on a server with 10 ms ping you only need a RWIN of 11680 VanBuren
  20. I know i said it before, the testfile size on testmy.net is too small for fat fiberoptic pipes like you have. CA3LE give this guy the hidden 20 MB test and you will see same thing goes for upload.... btw nice scores dude! try my test in sweden, would be nice to see what speed you get overseas use the 20 mb testfile http://thegamer.serveftp.com/ VanBuren
  21. There are three engineers in a car; an electrical engineer, a chemical engineer and a Microsoft engineer. Suddenly the car just stops by the side of the road, and the three engineers look at each other wondering what could be wrong. The electrical engineer suggests stripping down the electronics of the car and trying to trace where a fault might have occurred. The chemical engineeer, not knowing much about cars, suggests that maybe the fuel is becoming emulsified and getting blocked somewhere. Then, the Microsoft engineer, not knowing much about anything, comes up with a suggestion, "Why don`t we close all the windows, get out, get back in, open the windows again, and maybe it`ll work !?" 22. Thats terrible speed for Comcast, try my tweak guide and post again http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm Very nice Odysseus_____ I got 10 Mbps fiberoptic full duplex at my home, isp started up a new service so i can get 100 Mbps if i want but right now its too expensive for me. VanBuren
  23. Dern nice, what connection do you have? VanBuren
