Very good idea, i agree that autosense dosent work very well.... Im on 10 Mbps fiber and for some reason my NIC auto detect me for 100 Mbps half duplex, using that give me normal download speed but my upload speed drops to half, give me bad upload packetloss........ So i use 10 Mbps full duplex now, works great, 97 % of advertised speed up and down... The only thing you need to remember is that when using 10 Mbps mode windows automatic set your RWIN to 17520 in win XP and if you use 100 Mbps your RWIN will be set to 64240 by defult. So if you using 10 Mbps on your NIC you probl need to increase RWIN to get good speed. btw i tested to run 100 Mbps full duplex aswell, same problem with packetloss then ... VanBuren

well this 50 % depends on quality on isp net and RTB said hes dad also using the connection....... the worst thing that can happens in gaming is that you r connection "peaks out" cos your out of bandwith. All have to test this, what is best for them but start with 50% and then go up to 60%, 70% and so on... edit: this is something i found out as admin of diffrent gameservers, quake 3, CoD, Mohaa, UT 2003, UT2004. Some of my friends is still stuck at 56k, so i was forced to make it playable for them aswell VanBuren

Yea i will ask him to make the test, my guess is that he will run over 50 Mbps cos this route is rock solid and both AOL and OOL servers probl got a major backbone I think US will have fiber to thier homes soon aswell, but the government has to pay atleast 50% of the fiber digging, atleast thats what they did here. Here we got city fibergrids, owned my one company, you pay a rent to use the fibernet. Then you have to contact a ISP that the netowner has a contract with, here in Lule

Yea, current cap is 10 Mbps up and 10 Mbps down, ISP started a new service a few months ago, so i can upgrade to 100 Mbps if i add 37 USD/ month. VanBuren

yea i guess i am abit lucky I never thought i was ever goin over 6 Mbps overseas, testing this server in NY was almost like a shock lol, had to trace it to make sure it was in NY for sure. I have a very clean route to this server, strait from Stockholm to NY, usally my route go to NL and UK first. VanBuren

hey rob That is good for cable but....... You need to know what speed your ISP says you have both upstream and downstream. If you are on a 4000/512 kbps package, you probl need to tweak to get above 90% of your capped speed. hey shanee Its very important to follow every step if you use the "advanced" way in my tweakguide. If this is hard for you i suggest you use the"Non advanced" way instead. I made some custom settings for diffrent types of services, the only thing you need to to do is find out your MSS value. To get a MSS value you must first start adjuster, delete cablenut tweaks, click save to registry like im saying in the guide. When you got a MSS eg 1452 (use my guide) you start adjuster, click file browse to vanburens_cablenut_settings choose eg win XP/2000 folder, now choose the folder MSS1452. Now you can see alot of diffrent files, choose the file that is closest to your capped speed eg DSL PPPoE 1500 128 now you got a few settings in adjuster, click save to registry and your done. If this dosent help.... You might have a hardware problem too, if you have a router try unplugging it and connect your pc to the modem. You can also have problems with networkcard, if its possible try with another pc aswell. good luck VanBuren
