  2. I pay around 40 USD / month for 10/10 Mbps, and if i want to upgrade to 100/100 Mbps i have to pay 37 USD more / month but its not worth it cos the 100 Mbps service has trafficlimit 300 GB/ month and thats not much if you goin to use the bandwidth optimal. VanBuren

  7. Ok i sended em PPPoE using a 1492 MTU, but you showed me a result of 1500, that makes me think that TCP optimizer has manually set yout MTU to 1500. However make sure you have MTU set to 1492 with these files, changing MTU is easyest with DrTCP, here you can download it http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe good luck VanBuren

  14. Hey schulte and welcome to the forum 1. i dont know what modem that works best, but ask your ISP what they recommend, or maybe somone here can give you a tip 2. Approx how many users is using the internet at same time? I do not know much about homenetworks, but do you use a pc with 2 networkadapters as server and hubs from that? If so i suggest to 1st tweak the server and see what happens to speed on the other pc
  15. It should work quote from Netlimiter help "Network Configuration Wizard Network Configuration Wizard (NTC) is intended for configuration of computer networks your compter can access and their appearance in NetLimiter. Most computers have only one network adapter and access to only one computer network, but some machines may have access to more than one computer network. Note that one network is mostly related to one network adapter (dial-up modem, ethernet card, etc.). NCW's only job is to devide your networks into two zones. First of the zones is called "Internet" and second "Local". By moving any network to "Internet" zone you're telling NetLimiter that this network is used to connect computer to the internet. When you move network to "Local" then it means, that this networks is local type of network, such as LAN. Network zones are used in NetLimiter Statistics module to measure "internet" and "local" traffic separately. If you need to make any changes to your adapter or network settings, you can run NCW manually using menu command - Tools->Network Configuration Wizard. If you don't need to adjust anything then you can leave this tool alone. If any change in your network configuration occurs (you add new adapter, adapter's IP changes) than NCW will run automaticaly. NCW will also run on the first start of NetLimiter. Using NCW NCW doesn't require more user input than it is necessary. For each of your networks you have got to decide whether it belongs to internet or local zone. Every network is identified by its mask IP address. NCW always tries help you, where to move the adapter. So if you're not sure about what's going on in the NCW, you can easily bypass questions by confirming pre-selected option. Beginners into networking should have known, that IP addresses beginning with 192 and 168 (for example 192.168.1.0) are used for LAN networks only, so adapters with these address should be moved into "Local" adapter zone." 16. dont really know what it stands for but its a type of dsl you need to decide who your goin to listen to, cos me and .s1 dosent speak the same language I say TCP optimizer is not good for your low bandwidth, .s1 probl think your score of 3000 kbps here are real, i do not think they are made from your pc... so 1. deside who you will listen to 2. then follow instructions and do not start changing things inbetween VanBuren
  17. tell me what tweak you using now, i cant help you if you dont follow my suggestions, that RWIN is totaly wrong for 384 Kbps I do not belive you pulled off 3000 Kbps on that ping, that test is made on another computer. look at my previous posts, and follow the tweakguide http://www.luwigie.com/tweaks/FAQ98ME.pdf VanBuren
