im a IE fan but have tested firefox aswell. I notice same thing, download was abit slower with firefox compared to IE, but upload is the same. Dont know why, maybe there is some tweaks to for firefox aswell i dont know, havent checked that out. VanBuren

I block all ping and traceroutes now, to many ppl trying to hack me since i started to run webserver. I bet alot of those hackers also random ping and if it responds, they starting the portscans...... wish i had a hardware firewall......... btw nice speed VanBuren

I think my server running fine now, would be interesting to know what kinda speed ppl get overseas. Cool Also if you use fileshare programs, a tip is to limit your uploadbandwidth to around 90% then you should get better downloadspeed aswell This is also great if i want to play a game and dont want to close a current download, i can limit it to 3 KB/s and it has no impact on my gameplay, after game is done i change the cap again VanBuren

Very nice score I use to test alot against that site too, but the testfile is too small for upload so you should have got even faster speed then 8800 kbps if upload filesize was the same as download. Most speedtest is built that way, cos most ppl has slower upload then download. VanBuren

Heyas just Its several Swedish servers, you can choose diffrent by scrolling on the list and click on the server you like to test against. You probl have 100 Mbps, i suggest you try to tweak it, that will bring up your speed even more. download this program http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl01/files/cablenut408.exe and this file open this file with cablenut and click save to registry and reboot your pc good luck VanBuren

In halfduplex you cant both send and recive at same time, so you cant send acknowledge packets during downloading as fast as you can on full duplex. Its also work the other way around, you cant recive acknowledge packets during upload as fast as with full duplex. This will result in slowdowns on your uploadspeed when you downloading, and vice versa. You should use 100 Mbps full duplex inside your home network. The only thing thats you should set to half duplex is between your modem and router. I suggest to test both half and full here cos some ISP

hey just and welcome to the forum Thats nice speed overseas, do you know what cap you have? 100 Mbps? You should be able to get alot more if you got 100 Mbps, you just need to increase RWIN, cos of the 60 ms bump that atlantic ocean gives you. I live in Sweden and have even higher bump of 100 ms, but i still score 3600 Kbps against testmy.net and 9000 Kbps against a NY server on my 10 Mbps cap. VanBuren
