My guess is that you use a very large RWIN and get alot of burst, that will give you nice scores with smaller files. See the diff between you and CA3LE is not very big now :::.. Then make a fat link collection to music on other sites, that way you save the bandwidth, ppl think they grab the music from your site but its linked and coming from another server VanBuren

Yea its not that bad, the problem with this type of transfers, overseas is packetloss. TCP protocol cant keep on sending if it dosent recive acknowledge packets. luwigie that also use Direct Way tested a software we have here in sweden that measure both UDP and TCP speed, he got around this speed in TCP but with UDP he got 10 Mbps lol UDP never ask about acknowledgepackets, its just keep on sending. If your not going to play hevy games, your computer will run just fine. A friend of mine running a AMD 700 Mhz and 256 MB of RAM and it works, he can play NHL 2004 but its abit choppy. In XP you can also tune it so it take less resourses, its not recommended to have a fat background image and all sorts of nice effects on a slow CPU system. I would go for it ! XP min requriments is 64 MB of RAM, CPU im unsure, but i had it running on a Pentium 166 Mhz lol VanBuren

I have a feeling its alot of burst in that score, to find out a "real speed" use the 12 MB test. All my tweakfiles is based on a overall good performance, not a good burst at lowping servers. Try these values CA3LE and you will also get same burst change TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize to 513920 or 256960 VanBuren

Cool, 75 Mbps is a hard load on your hardrive aswell, that can be a abig bottleneck. I suggest you try Cable & DSL 2000 384 and Cable & DSL 3000 384 files and compare what file that works best for you. Here is a 4000/1024 file good luck VanBuren

My Server RULES !!!! The thing is that you have it in your cache, my server has been offline, so there is no way for you guys to have downloaded that fast. My server is ALWAYS offline when i sleep, my casefans sounds too much to get a good night sleep lol VanBuren

I dont think bandwidth is a problem here, its hosted at a backbone, same datacenter as testmy.net the only problem is if he got some trafficlimit.... and .s1 check these things out before you start "worry about somones bandwidth" VanBuren
