The only way to get better upload is to tweak AFD buffers, in cablenut program with win xp/2000 you can change DefaultSendWindow by defult its set to 8192. Cablenut Team recommend to use your uploadcap in KB/s x 1024 I also use that and it worked great I can see your gettin great speed already, (probl not much more to tweak on that) do you use TCP optimizer? If you feel like trying my tweaks here is a tweakguide check it out I have added a customsettings file for 5 Mbps down and 768 kbps up, i think that should work for you aswell even tho you get over 5 Mbps. http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=605 VanBuren

retesting my download result and found this
VanBuren replied to Larry's topic in Show off your speed
Read this link first..... http://www.dslreports.com/faq/7718 Imagine your wheelbarrow got the same size (MTU) as my 10 Mbps connection, also imagine The amount of dirt you put into the wheelbarrow (RWIN) is the same as mine The only thing now that can make my speed faster is the latency, my latency dosent change before i got a load of 6 Mbps or so... Thats why i can go faster then you overseas aswell, cos your ping will increase way faster then mine. These variables together with packetloss is the only thing that limit the speed. In my case i need a higher MTU to get closer to my advertised speed overseas. A higher MTU wouldnt help you at all cos you almost use full bandwidth. Think i explained this before, and i hope you can understand that now, maby someone else can explain this better then me VanBuren -
Download speed doesn't match upload speed
VanBuren replied to SunDevilStud's topic in Make it Faster...
follow this guide http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=605 I made costom settings for 10 Mbps fiber, T3 and also 100 Mbps fiber. Try em out, good luck VanBuren -
In your case i would suggest to use windows defult settings, you can easy get windows defult back using cablenut program, click delete cablenut tweaks and save to registry and reboot. If that dosent work, try my tweak guide http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=605 good luck VanBuren

I suggest you try dslreports servers aswell, i also suggest to use the advanced way of using my tweaks cos its impossible for me to make a custom settings file that suit all ISP 100 %, quality of phonelines, and so on... If you like "to get rid of the tweaks" just open adjuster and click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry, reboot. VanBuren -

Thats nice he probl got a fast dsl connection at home, here in sweden we have dsl up to 26 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. 20 bucks probl is alot of money in korea, ask him what a average middle class employe earn every month in USD. These days giganetworks is not very rare, so its probl true hes school is connected to that. Here in sweden we have a giganetwork for all our universitys, they have a woldrecord with sprintlink in transfer speed. How about this? On April 14, 2004, SUNET transferred around 840 Gigabytes of data in less than 30 minutes, using a single TCP stream between one host at the Lule

I made a file for you, and added a folder for MSS 1440. Just redownload that Vanburens_cablenut_settings.zip and overwrite the old folder. Then follow this guide again and use non advanced user, and load the file in MSS 1440 folder. http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm good luck VanBuren

and now your saying your still at 160? Well.... Follow this tweak guide i made http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm VanBuren
-
You dont need to tweak that with a 256 Kbps cap, windows defult buffers is more then enough. 8760 is a RWIN multible with your MSS, and works best up to a cap around 256 Kbps on cable. VanBuren

Try this tweak guide http://thegamer.serveftp.com/FAQ.htm VanBuren
