  1. I think the test would be more accurate if the filesize was bigger for higher pings. The current test size is good and works great for most ppl (a guess ping less then 100), i just wish some overseas ppl can show off here too hehehe I also think the upload test would be more accurate for ppl in US with fiberoptics. I would like to see a test file size of maximal 3 MB both upload and download. If it was built in a script that 0.5MB test has to be for ex 10% worce then the 1MB test to be able to move to 3 MB testsize. That way guys with low bandwith would never has to upload/download a filesize of 3 MB. My upload here is way too low around 500Kbps/s and my download is around 3 Mbps (with a ping of 150ms). The download filesize is bigger and that way give me a better score, i understand the upload size is low cos not many ppl using fiberoptics like me. I also test against www.dslreports.com NY server, its a 120 ms ping to me and i score around 6 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up. They using a testsize of 3 MB both up and down. http://www.dslreports.com/archive/bredbandsbolaget.se Does anything of what im trying to say make sense? VanBuren
  2. I missed that list of how fast pc some weapons need Well i still dont think its a good way to stop it, like i said in my post before. There will always be a risk that wrong ppl can get hold of em anyway. like i said before, i compare it with Swedish steel. VanBuren
  3. I cant see the threat in fast pc ................. I think its more a software issue But i dunno, should we in sweden stop selling high tech steel to some countrys cos they might use it in millitary use? Well i dont like the idea, that will only bring more unfairness in the world and not a long term relationship to secure piece. VanBuren
  4. Not bad ........ I remember my 1st laptop p2 450 Mhz with 4 MB 2d videocard. I used to play multiplayer on a old FPS game named Outlaws, and i got owned every game hehe then i bought this pc and things got reversed Maby i should get a laptop again, these days they have kinda nice spec VanBuren
  5. I find that unlikely, what Operating System do you have?
  6. Tnx i didnt read that part before But there is always a risk that terrorists can hide hevy armor and so on VanBuren
  7. 32 Euro/ month for fiberoptics 10 Mbps Dont shoot me !!! VanBuren
  8. Kinda scary, thinking about how useful this could be for terrorists But i hope the terrorists will be fried before they can get hold of these stuff. I like the idea with the shower hehehehe VanBuren
  9. Sounds great........ You seem to be kinda close to your 3 Mbps now so i wouldnt bother to tweak it more, dslreports tweak test is good. But if you want to try to get more i suggest you try my tweak guide http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=99 VanBuren
  10. This is why i made a tweak guide to calculate the RWIN. Your speed slowed down by using TCP optimizer. like i said before, too big RWIN on low bandwith connection will only result in bigger packetloss. TCP optimizer is good and help alot of ppl, but i suggest you try my tweakguide here. When you tweaked with TCP optimizer, did you first backup your registry with defult settings? If so, restore it. If not, first install cablenut program (link is on my tweakguide in link below) and open adjuster. In adjuster click delete cablenut tweaks, click save to registry and reboot. Now your ready to use my tweak guide. http://www.testmy.net/forumz/viewtopic.php?t=99 Good luck !!! VanBuren
  11. ftp://202.65.194.18/cn/nic/rtl8139abcd8130810xseries/rtlsetup-rtlnic(612).zip u need winzip to open it, www.winzip.com Extract to a new folder run setup.exe in main directory
  12. Very nice upload! But your download aint the best....... have you tweaked? What connection do you have, and advertised speed?
  13. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?series=16&Software=True
  14. lol yea !!! I wish we had a testmy.net in europe too, cos almost all testsites here are crap compared to this. VanBuren
  15. a speedtest should be atleast 1 MB big on low pings and up to 2 MB on higher pings thats what i think. here is a far more accurate test with 1 MB VanBuren
  16. I say its kinda useless, speed is like a lottery for some ppl lol VanBuren
  17. Its a fuckin joke! hehe i tested my speed against http://www.beelinebandwidthtest.com/ look how accurate my result was hehe Btw i got 10 Mbps fiber = 1250 KB/s maximal I noticed my speed boosted up if i spammed the start test button, i know alot of test work that way you need to clear cache. But when i saw their was a top 40 list i laughed look here http://www.beelinebandwidthtest.com/top/ I like stats but this was just too much hehe Tnx Ca3le for a nice site and a very accurate test, even tho i will never get nice speed across the atlantic VanBuren
  18. yea that was slow, camperspeed i feel sorry for ya VanBuren
  19. hmmm did windows install your NIC automatic?, i suggest you find your NIC adapter brand and type and search for that NIC latest driver on the homepage of manufactor. VanBuren
  20. Think you will find it on your NIC driver floppy or disc, start->search->protman.dos and hit enter. VanBuren
  21. Very nice and stable connection Swimmer RTB, you can try manual set your duplexmode in your NIC; dunno if it has any affect, but i dont trust autosense. Win98/ME: to change to half-duplex: * Open Control Panel. * Double-click Network. * From the scrollable list, select your Ethernet adapter (rather than any dial-up) with a green icon. * Click the button Properties. * Click the tab Advanced to bring it to the front: * In the Property box, the property name to be selected varies according to model of ethernet card. Examples are: Network Link Selection, Media Type, Connection Type, Duplex Mode, or any similarly-named property which can have Values looking like Auto-Negotiation, or 10BT, or 10BaseT. * In the Value box, select a value which either (a) explicitly says half-duplex or semi-duplex, or ( at least does not say full-duplex [e.g. 10BaseT on its own is OK]. If there is a choice between 10 and 100 with half-duplex, choose the 10. Do not choose 10Base5, 10Base2, or AUI. * Click OK to exit the Adapter settings. * Click OK all the way out - you might need to restart. Good luck VanBuren
  22. glad it works better now What did you change and what are your current values? I couldnt see that speed result "UPC TestServer Uw IP adres (213.115.113.70 & (none)) heeft geen toegang tot deze server, omdat het niet in gebruik is door UPC/chello in Nederland.
