I was trouble shooting an Insight connection on friday.. I saw 2200ms+ ping times to the the first few insight routers.. We determined that it was the router.. (WRT54G) For some reason it was not behaving correctly even after a flash of new Linksys firmware.. So we put dd-wrt, a linux version that does void the warrenty, on the router and it has been fine now.. They two guys are getting about 4900/373

from the control panel.. under displays.. there should be an option to display that kind of stuff.. for me it is a little button under the LCD monitor.. like a toggle switch.. either you dint display that info or you do. I know that it is there.. you just have to hunt for it..

On the bottom of the router.. there should be a sticker.. I need to know what version.. like v.1 v.1.1 v.2...

It might show up.. but it could be named the generic name for the device.. Like most of the Linksys wireless cards are named something really weird.. it didnt work.. cause you still need the drivers.. Does Everest Home detect hardware with out drivers correctly? otherwise this is going to be a fun little hunt for these drivers.

What firmware are you running and what version of the hardware do you have?

Dynex is a company that makes (or packages) just about everything... I would stay with creative just incase you ever run into a problem.. i know that their support is awesome.

It is more likely a combo of both.. the transfer from analog to digital can take time and then the route to your computer.. Glad you like it!

all of your drivers have to support power management.. so.. make sure that they are all up todate! Also make sure that your graphics drivers are uptodate! that is the number 1 cause that computer will not enter standby.

can you post a tracert to testmy.net? I had a wrt54g with the latest firmware go crazy last night.. the pings were above 2500ms.. Flashed it with dd-wrt and now they are getting over their package speeds.. I have a feeling that the latest round of firmware from Linksys might have been poor in quality.

well the good thing is that the disks didnt die.. Try the system restore before anything else..

I dont know if that would cause this type of problem.. I would check symantec's site to see if they have a security response to that trojan... They then would detail how to manually get rid of it.

Yeah i really dont see that much of a difference.. I dont think it beats the Nvidia card but it does atleast match it..
