I know.. i was commenting on the pentium m.. and how it was never designed to be a desktop processor.. but the fact that they can take some of the faster p4s out is just amazing.. considering that the lastest gen only has a 533mhz fsb.

saw that on slashdot just now.. looks very quick and interesting.. lets see if this ever comes out and how much$$

I would 10000000% agree.. 800mhz fsb is a little old.. AMD tops at what 2000mhz with hyper transport? I am not sure why It has taken Intel so long to up the fsb..

So what is on that partition? or is it a physical disk?

Because that is what people are currently trying to do.. there is a huge push for manufactures to make a board that supports the Pentium m... Aopen is the only on that currently makes a board.. and it is micro atx... One of those articles is actually about the m processor as a desktop chip.. Now if only they would develope a chipset based for the pentium m.. then we would be taking.. or atleast update it past the 855

It has nothing to do with power.. I already posted a link that showed for the most part a 1.8 pentium M is about the same as a 2.8 P4.. that is still pretty powerful! now the bus speeds are not the best but that is to conserve battery life.. This isnt a moble desktop... if it was then you would have a p4 with the full specs.. these are portable notebooks..

I have seen some of their system.. But can find any benchmarks against an Alienware.. I will say that Falcon's cases are just amazing..

There really isnt a need for proxies.. most of them create logs so if you do do something illegal.. they will know who it was...

Cable internet is based on frequency coming down the line.. if the signal is to strong aka too high of a frequency.. the modem will not pick it up.. meaning that you have no internet!

If the creative tests are failing then there is a problem.. check creative site for the latest drivers, app, and firmware.. If that doesnt work then I would call tech support and see if you can RMA the card

but that requires uploading.. which depending on his connection could take a little bit..

you are going to need to remove any firewalls.. that will mess up the process..

yes yes it is.. it is either toward the end of this fourm... or in the archive.. but yeah the quest is still there.. i dont know if we will be able to do it until the retail version hits the shelf.. i dont know enough about how BartPE works and the file system that Vista uses..

I tried to make a vista liverun cd.. but since the file system is different BartPE didnt work..

Not as good as you would think.. you are paying for their name at this point. Dont get me wrong they create a great product.. however, there is faster out there.. Also for some reason everybody that i know who has one has had one or more problems.. one has usb ports that were not grounded correctly leading the connector being blown.. and the other one had serious heat problems.. maybe it was two lemons..
