my guess is that since both are usb2.0 connection what the computer is trying to do is limit the case of buffer under-run.. LIke if you were pulling from the usb hard drive and burnning to the dvd drive.. there wouldnt be enough bandwidth to support both drives at the same time... It is just a built in feature most likely... When you are not using the programs you can still access both correct? I would think that if you were to use firewire and USB 2 it might let you do it.. Nero is just freaking out.. my guess would be

"ITswag's Pics from the beach !!!" as an auto response.. that is how it is delivered.. the address on that link is H**p://w*w.service24.com/photos/pictures.pif--> DONT CLICK THIS LINK!!!!! I remove some of the letter to prevent problems.. but i am looking for the owner of this server.. they are going to receive a call from me and most likely Purdue University.. it is spreading like wild fire!!! It doesnt seem to affect trillian.. Thanks guys!

Saw this on Slashdot.org.. Thought it was pretty interesting.. have a look and maybe this will answer you questions about why FF seems slower than IE.. maybe it is because of how the site were built! http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html o by the way.. Opera 6.03 was the fastest.. "From a humerous perspective, it is interesting to note that IE on Windows is slowing down, in the majority of tests." Just take a look.. maybe this could be the patches.. it doesnt say if he is running patches..

nope.. Nothing that you would see.. it would just provide the option to run 10/100/1000 later.. If you want this is what you would be looking for.... It would be quite an upgrade but I am not sure you would see the difference.. All of the equipment is D-Link and is rated at gigabit under the gaming console you can either go with the wireless or just the standard 10/100 ethernet connection..

That is very true.. and that is what most people are saying.. it is in China's lap to fix this one..

question about differences between how FF and IE read code
Swimmer replied to Cobra's topic in General Discussion

well.. that is a good question.. since we are the "police force of the world" my guess is that everyone else wants us to deal with it.. Also they asked to talk with us..

Ok this is what you have..

That sucks!!! I am not suggesting we nuke them or anything.. I think that it is time that we confront the situtation... We already have enough nukes in the world...

some of the first routers only had one output port my guess would be.. That would be something like a small business would set up.. Like router to a 12 or 24 port switch not a hub.. That way they could get more computer onto their internet connection... I have a router with 4 port switch built in and then a 5 port switch.. the max number of computers I could have connected would be 7... 4 on the switch and 3 on the router.. What you are going at that point is planning for the future.. if you were going to network you house then I could see the use of switches.. for every port on the router you could get hook up a 8 port switch.. If I have time today I will put it into visio and draw out what I am talking about... Basically it is a more advanced way of setting up your network.. if you had more computer..

question about differences between how FF and IE read code
Swimmer replied to Cobra's topic in General Discussion
That is a really good question.. My guess is that you are just missing something really easy.. I have seen FF mess up on comments before.. I am not sure if you can do muti line comments and still have firefox display correctly.. Looks sweet though! maybe jokes in the code isnt that nessary.. -
A router has a 4or 5 port switch included.. A switch sends information to and from a specific computer toits location.. A hub on the other hand if a computer asks for information and there are other computer on that hub the server sends the information to all of the computers wether they asked for it or not.. meaning that there is a huge proformance difference between a hub and a switch.. A router on the other hand takes a ip address and creates a lan... So each computer gets a new IP address and then uses the internet acting like only one computer.. Hope that helps some what.. I cant think of any example to make it easier to understand.. Update: the HUB Ok you have a telephone number.. when some one calls your number all of the phones ring! that is what a hub does.. if information is sent, the phone call, all of the computers will receive that information.. The router: Many companies have a phone system.. Where there are extentions, IP address assigned by the router, so when one person picks up their phone they dont have other talking away on their line.. Like wise some one can call in and reach that specific person! Much like a request for a webpage from one computer.. There that should make it a little easier.. Comcast Chicago! I lived in the North West suburbs.. Glad to see that people from my area have found this website!

Chicago 6000/768? Anybody knows?
Swimmer replied to pitbull481's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
It will take about 1-3 weeks after the system is running the 4000/384 spec.. then the network engineers will update your modem.. if you want it quicker try power cycling your modem.. The last time the update that is what you had to do to get the new modem packets.. -
try power cycling the modem and the router.. that should take care of any issues with either.. Trend Micro PC-cillin is a great program!! i switched from the Nortan Internet Securities products and now I boot faster and I feel better protected..
