  1. Did you check for packetloss?
  2. Well yeah, you can compare them, it's just that most people praise this card like it just killed ATi totally already, as if they don't know what is being released by ATi next. Not insinuating that you did, I'm just saying. The PCI Express models also come out later on I think.
  3. Once again, it better beat the 9800XT, because that isn't "this generation", nor is it the answer to the 6800. That is where the x800XT comes in, and I think it will once again beat out Nvidia. Comparing this to the 9800XT is not complimenting the 6800 at all, it has every right to beat this card. If it still couldn't it would be a failure.
  4. Probably not. Depending on how you connect, whether it's normal, pppoA, or something else, you may need the MTU at 1492. If it's a normal connection, you should set it at 1500 though.
  5. That isn't your RWIN, that is your MTU. Why do you want anything more? Those are awesome speeds. Not to mention I need much more information to tweak you.
  6. That's what I download in real life too man, RCN is cool with me. I had a period that I got those results here, so check them out if you want.

I don't have any ideas for an FTP access or anything. Plus like I said I don't use IE's bundled download, and the one I use doesn't have the finished speed average, it just stays around what I posted throughout the whole thing. Not trying to put you on the spot, I'm just explaining myself.

    T1 from work

Downstream is good, upstream just plain sucks for T1.
  10. Packetloss could be the problem, try running a line quality test at dslreports. Also, you mean kbps, not mbps

I understand that reddog, but I also got accurate tests here for about 20 minutes, then it went back down to 3200 at most. CNET, and Mcafee tests just plain suck. They aren't accurate for anyone I know.

I don't use the default downloader, because I like having a reference for all of my download links. This is what this file has been going at the whole time.

You mean just a screenshot of around 100MB, with about 560KB/s? I can do that no problem, I am downloading 540MB right now. Also, DSLreports does not use dinky test files either. Not to stir anything up because I know they are a competitor, but I am just saying. My downstream takes at least 6-7 seconds when testing there, and I get 4500 there. I'll have the screen for you if thats what you mean in a minute.

  18. Uh, having your TV on has nothing to do with your upload speed. And there is nothing you can do to tweak upload other than get a higher and most costly package.
