  2. with DSL, your ISP can only be a couple miles away from you, or your speed will be seriously affected... normally, performance would decrease when you added wire only if it was low quality or it went past other electrical devices
  3. .74M and .98M (i think...) .74M is the standard consumer dish size
  4. nothing, it tells you your signal strength... you would have to measure your dish to find out how big it is... if you do that, you might want to unplug your modem first...

  14. right click on the my computer icon, click properties, click on the hardware tab, click on the device manager button, expand the network adapters group, right click on each adapter you want to uninstall, and click uninstall on the context menu... after uninstalling, reboot... windows should automatically detect and reinstall the adapters... tcp/ip is also uninstalled and reinstalled when you do this...

  16. welcome to the forum you could try and go back to the windows default settings by clearing all boxes in cablenut, saving to registry and rebooting... this sounds more like your ISP though...
  17. i dont think i agree with you DaveMan... do you have some proof of that? bigger size would most likely increase your signal strength and keep it higher even during storms... which i suppose could increase your speed some... or at least prevent it from decreasing as much...
