OK. I get it. Sort of. So it's not just the physical distance. I kinda understand about the radio frequency thing. But I wasn't aware wind factor is also relevant. We got a slight breeze going on around here. Maybe it's the case. thanks

Is this normal? I was downloading stuffs and was thrilled to see my DL speed at 9pm MLA time. And when I checked my AP, the UserCount says zero (0). I tried to re-open my canopy and it still says zero. And I noticed that my air delay changed from 1025 to 1176 feet. I think my AP crawled or something... Sorry if it's a dumb*ss question, but I don't know much about this stuff.

...as far as I know, the sun is already high @ 8:47am in my place. jk Right you are my friend. It's hard to achieve fantastic scores during peak hours. But you should also consider the internet access availability of these guys you are questioning... You can post whatever time you like. Be it at dawn, early morning, before going to work/school, while checking emails (@ 8am in my case), noon, afternoon, eve, midnight, with or w/o tweaks; openDNSs; proxies; mirrors; when you're bored... the lists goes on. It's not a contest... at least for me it isn't. Lighten up... there was a different thread somewhere here where you can post during peak hours (6 - 9pm) and see the real deal. Check it out. We all deserve a pat on the back for helping each other out from the crappy service of Smartbro. Achieving a high connection speed is like getting back your money's worth ..or more. At least, if you're the one paying for it.

@aneljr009 Yeah, me too... well...still. I think they (SB CSR) gave me a definition fot that - a time out. I'm not an expert and all but... CSR's method (by the book): Disable/enable LocAreaConn (sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't) or.. Shutdown PC and unplug..errr..LAN(?) wire and power adapter for 5 secs then plug it back and boot up PC. It worked once but temporarily. 'Got negative connection again after a couple of days. What I do... (and what works for me) Whenever I get "No conn..", I access my Canopy page (it still opens in my case) and I change/type in "my alternate" color code (under Config > Radio tab) - I only switch from 2 ColCodes (I studied my AP Evaluation beforehand) whenever the other one is shitty <pardon my French>. Then Save Changes and Reboot. Wait a coup'l of secs then go back to Home menu and see if it's "Registered.." under Session Status - otherwise I wait for a coup'l of secs until so. Then I regain connection again. Sometimes, when the connection's back, I revert to my original ColCode coz it has lesser User Count most of the time (re-type in color code > save changes > reboot). And sometimes (yup, it really happens a lot to me) I don't switch color codes. I just reboot (Canopy > Config > Radio tab). It also works... at least for me. Stable? Nope. Its not a permanent solution. So far, I've been lucky for about 2 weeks already. 'Will very much appreciate help from the experts here...

Me too, I averaged 100+ yesterday. They (CSR) told me my AP went loco. (Good thing there was "excitement" in Makati that made me stick to the tube for hours ) But now it's back...I hope. @ 9:02am MLA time

Umm.. Go back and ask the guys from this thread on an earlier period (CB, SB_U, SC, EF, Gour...)..(but check first if they're online) They're much more qualified than me to answer questions. I only did what was written... And search for other threads (keywords: SmartBro, Canopy, etc...) for other solutions. Read well and understand. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... FYI: I'm not hiding any info... its just that those guys can elaborate further.. In my case, you could easily see that I do not know what I'm talking about.
