Thats pretty good... But... the heatsink is designed to cool the chip.. why would removing it cool it more?

Hey guys im having some troubles with counterstrike on my new box.. 1. When in game my " choke" is almost 100 at times, but usually about 30. What causes this? 2. MY NEWEST PROBLEM!: now when i open steam, everythings good and well. But when i open the server list about 30 seconds later, my internet gets b0rked. I mean it completely kills my net till i close steam. also, this happens on both of my boxes (xp and vista ) so i know its not my steam files or whatever.. ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated. thank you. edit: oh and yes, i do have the ports fowarded correctly for CS, HL , HL2, etc, etc. Still no go. :tickedoff:

Absolutely glad to help, it only took over 3 hours of reeming M$ a new ass over the phone yesterday and bam! mysteriously a patch was emailed to me with a .zip file that was passworded , and the password changed every 24 hrs... lol pretty fancy dance.

Ok so basically this is what it boils down too. this is a micro$oft issue ( BIG SURPRISE! ) that Microsoft will have to address : i.e. : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939006/en-us I spoke with dell, dell level 3 tier networking support, micro$oft corp. number, verizon , and dlewis23 . Funny part is, you know who provided the most help? dlewis23. He showed me how to re-setup my router to work.. LOL! basically like i said, until Microsoft comes out with a fix for this in vista, im stuck with a 1 mb upload on my vista box, and a 5mb upload on my XP box. :cry: Now if anyone ELSE has any advice on this issue, please speak up !!! lol my grandmother just bought a gateway with vista. I actually liked it. Only thing i didnt care for was my lack of know-how to tweak the internet settings without cablenut.. Says its not compatable with vista?
