  1. i pulled a couple of sticks of 128mb ram out of my old HP Vectra, which had happily been using them, and now I am going to put them into my Media Center (HP) ...so, what's the worst that could happen? will my pc just quit? I am kinda skepticul about doing it, but what is the worst that could happen?

  5. I didn't calculate it exactly, but it is still pretty damn quick. you should see it on fast draft, where it can print 10 pages in about 10 seconds, and they still look great! hey, nice printer pit.
  6. the thermal ink is nothin special, but a 4800dpi res is really nice for pics taken with this baby: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1103613&sku=N13-4090 I just printed a borderless 8 x 10 on photo paper, and right now I'm doin' a 4x6. and, yes, the 20/30 color/black ppm is true. you should see this thing in action. I just wish I had a wireless network to set it up to! wired for now, I guess.

  12. for me, I got a 8x burner, as most people do, and I always use the +r's, because they ALWAYS play in any of my dvd players. the -r's don't at times. either way, it would be fine, just 4x would take longer, but not by much. Just remember, don't do other stuff whle your burnin'! especially if your gonna go 8x. let me know if that helps! indestructable
  13. thanks everyone! I'll definately look into those, and yep, my 6300c worked GREAT, until the lamp blew. it still scans, just everything's black. that 4070 sounds good, again thanks guys!

  18. You never told ME that!!!!! ( http://lemonaid.serveftp.com:6676 ) I'm on Charter. They do indeed block port 80, but all the others around it work (8080, 81, anything.) btw, I have a 256 kbps upstream.
