i did a little more digging and the ip with the most connections is coming from a school in china, i even got the room # :haha: god i love my host. role: CERNET Helpdesk address: Room 224, Main Building address: Tsinghua University address: Beijing 100084, China

hes connecting to my server. ive blocked him through iptables, and with a Cisco firewall but still the same.

my hosts whois tells me is from Maxnet ISP, Bangkok Thailand

I get completely different information from my routers WHOIS. TMN makes it looked like its spoofed.

I keep getting connections from a few IP's, but i block them but they can still connect, they are connecting 100's of times too 271 61.132.94.163 405 58.207.176.210 415 124.157.148.41 does anybody have anything to try?

its probably a high CPU load, give it some time and see if it still happens.

i finally got back to normal 6mbps download speeds. but bellsouth still couldnt give me a answer why it was slow.

you can set the router up with no wires. EDIT: if you just want to it repeat the signal i think DDWRT has a mode for that but i can't remember what it is called.
