take it easy man the cable if it is cat5 or cat5e should go for 100Metters ok i dont think ur house is bigger then that is it? considering the microwave behind the wall i dont think it is a problem, as long as it is not a wireless router as well as a modem and even with that they operate in diffrent frequencies its just a possibility that it could mess up, but it will not in most of the cases so i think you are safe putting it next to the tv, and leave the microwave alone in my opinion make the cable as long as you want
