  5. Maybe later down the rode when all webservers can suppot you downloading over 1000 kb/s the swich is worth it. but if ur happy with ur sdsl keep it...i would want symetrical..
  6. Wow, It does NOT matter on your D/L speed for hosting servers. You could have 256 cable and 256 upload DSL and they would perform the same! DSL Might accrtualy perform better since its not being shared with all your neiGBors.
  7. And dude, you said "running a HLDS only requires 4Mb/s"
  8. Uhh...they offer over a 10meg package? And I don't even think they offer over 1.5 meg Upload...(as far as i know)
  9. HLDS Really dosen't even need 4meg Download, its all upload, hence wahat the players are downloading from your server.
  10. Ya with the "test package" you could. And sooner or later The 5/2 package will be bumped up to the 15/2 (lowest package) and then the users on 15/2 will be bumped up to 30/5 (What a tech said) Makes you wonder what the 3rd tire will be lol
  11. Ur getin their with ol' Comcast!
  12. Its amazing in the begining, firefox exagerates and says im downloading at 8000 kb/s...but than it goes down to appropreate speed.
  13. So.... 1121 is 1121 kB/s is 9183.23 Kbps Or 9.18 Mbps ::: 1.09 MB/sec FF is correct...
  14. 1830 kB/s is 14991.36 Kbps Or 14.99 Mbps ::: 1.79 MB/sec ^ This is what Testmy.net is claiming, but if I test to a local server (in LA) I get about 15.1 d/l. So... 15109 Kbps is 1844.36 kB/s Or 15.11 Mbps ::: 1.8 MB/sec
  15. if your downloading a huge file (300 megs) it is correct...and you just use the conversion calculater on here and it telsl what Mpbs you are D/Ling at.

  19. I test on Web100 servers and I get TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v5.3.3d click START to begin Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 1.96Mb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 15.32Mb/s The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet click START to re-test Not understanding this.
