Yup I check my pop3 account with McAfee spam blocker, spyware and viruse checker. I don't care what people say about using outlook for an e-mail client....McAfee fully integrates seamlessly with that mail program....it puts virus,spam blocker, and a blocked /allowed mail viewer buttons right in your tool bar.....you can rescue messages that accidentally got blocked (security set tight) right from outlook.......well it works for me anyway. I will probably never get away from McAfee, they are the best in my opinion....they have a ton of free updates to keep everything the latest and greatest for your protection....since I have been using them, I have been virus and spam free for years. As soon as a bug or malicious software try to do it's thing...McAfee stops it, cleans it, deletes it, or quarantines it......PUT IT THIS WAY IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE MILITARY IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME! Spam has never been a problem for me. Must be the McAfee anti everything I run...I don't get spam, spyware or viruses...knock on wood...McAfee seems to catch everything and their firewall works great with XP Pro and the Dway constant on Sat System. Buzz

I know you have heard this before.....but it sounds like you picked up some spyware or keystroke monitor.....I would make sure you check your system out for hidden programs or viruses.

I tried to download this application over the internet.....with dway.....yeah right...anyway I got 61% (171megs in 30 minutes) then reached the dreaded FAP...my copy of the policy reads that they will reduce your bandwidth to a 56k dial-up, but that you will still have internet access, only at a greatly reduced rate...dway lies like a pile of sh*t.....I got completely cut off....I could not sustain a 1kb download.....I would get out of bed to check on the progress and it would be stopped, when I would reconnect it started from the beginning of the file again instead of resuming from where it left off!!

Ok, this is what I have noticed with the settings I am using, the worst connection has been 700-800. THIS IS AT REALLY HEAVY USAGE TIMES, I MEAN EVERYBODY IS ONLINE FOR IT TO GET THIS BAD. I got the file uploaded to your site this morning, after I renamed it again.....I was wondering were the file went that disappeared (into the magical bit bucket?)....if not you will have to clean up after me because I don't know where they went to do the clean up myself...sorry about that. I was tired last night so it was more irritating than normal to do the typing over again......I just will remember to right click and save before leaving the screen I am on....or I will open a new window. NOT AS BIG A DEAL AS I MADE OUT. The files were the Dway LCCU files and XPtweak.zip from SpeedGuide.net.....these really have helped my system get up to speed even when the bandwidth traffic is heavy.....I have the DW6000 so there is not a lot you can do for your speed......That's what the post was about....thanks for you input. I was posting about the DW6000 from Dway in the Dway section, and I tried to help somebody who was asking for speed help in another.....both got lost the zip files were xptweak.zip and the LCCU file from Dway. This morning I renamed them again to Ricks_xptweak.zip and they finally got there, a few people are trying out these settings.....I hope they work as good for them as they do for me. Buzz
