  2. That's about average, I'm on G4R 1350 in the KC Mo area and have a high of 63 sig strength.
  3. If you check the specs, you'll find that you can't use ddr and sdr at the same time, one or the other. I know, I have both slots on my puter.
  4. Consumer Fap refreshes at approx 40Kbps For a full refresh from 169MB will be around 8hr. That's just an approxamation.

  7. None at all, that is about all you can expect from the 4000.......don't upgrade! your downloads will be capped at 1000. I assume that you are on the CE plan. Those are very goods speeds both up and down.
  8. I think your best bet would be window blinds......it uses 2,240k on my system...barely notice it.

  11. Yeah, that's about 1megabyte per sec, not 1megaBIT per sec....quite a dif....that's pretty fast.

  13. Ok, to answer your questions, I used the Linksys adapter they sent me, hooked it up straight to my Satellite modem then to my phones. Wasn't routed through my puter so I didn't have to worry about ports. Because it wasn't routed through the puter there were no firewalls on it.
  14. No, I had it for all of one day and it worked fine as far as calling went.......I am on satellite and the ping was just way too high.

  19. Your uploads will never be high.....avg is around 25kbps up with bursts up to 80kbps or so.....Direcway uploads just suck.

  22. I recently changed from a consumer account to the consumer pro. When you change transponders, you also get a new site ID and you have to reregister your MyDirecway and your E-mail accounts. I have found that you can reuse the same names that you were using before......
  23. I use Opra proxied and get the most stable connection and I have pretty much ALL the free browsers out there from Avant to Netscape.........Gotta love that Opra.......lol
