  1. You shoudl recieve the upgrade by 6:00 p.m. if you called before then on a business day. if not, wait til next business day then check by rebooting the modem after 6. If you notice the speeds go up and down, don't worry, it can take 1-3 days for the upgrade to become fully in effect. if nothing happens within 4 business days, call them back.

  2. is BellSouth your current ISP? If so, and if you think they are crap, but you have to realize there will probably be a different support for Business Class Customers, which, if you would get a T1 line, you would get.

  3. Give it time, FiOS is being deployed SO fast, that verizon doesn't have enough workers to do the work and stuff. So they are hiring 3rd party contracters to do the work. And as in the past, one Verizon department doesn't know what the other is doing.

  4. its shared bandwidth but only within the network your on. No outside factors. if you have 1 computer sitting behind it, you will get a full 1.5Mbps BOTH ways. People don't pay for the speed of the T1, you pay for it because of the stability, the roundtrip times(as said above) and symmetrical service.

Now you ask,  why shouldn't I get a SDSL line like blunted has for a lot less. Reason being: Its still DSL and can have the problems it has. But usually not since its a business line.

  5. Just got take out at a local Chinese restaurent. My container/box thing that had my rice in is a FiOS Box! Its all colorful and stuff, and it says Verizon FiOS(FiberOptic Internet Service) on them. Is this an indication or am I fantasizing again?

Here is a crappy Pic, but the top says See the light and the bttom said Verizon FiOS Fiber-Optic Internet Service in a red, orange white, green, blue and black box.
