  2. FF released a patdh the otherday, I am waiting on it now, but I still do not see the connection as far as gaming client, what are you browsing w/ now?
  3. Make sure you have your firewall settings correct, but if your modem is not reaching there server , well...........

  5. Jeff, did yahoo switch yet? Maybe in that area , could be a coincidence w/ the install, but they should have notified him
  6. you may have to contact your ISP, it seems you are not connecting to a DNS server, like Jeff said , unless he can help you more
  7. Some ISP's are swicthing to non ppoe, but dont chande that unless you know
  8. go to statistics, and scroll down to "IP information ", look and see if there is anything in that DNS server window

  10. no , not bridged connection, Birdged mode, look ariound ans make sure all "DHCH is turnrd on, and all other specs are "bridged . I have one here, and will look at the interface w/ you
  11. ok , Im going out on a limb right now , but you should type in "192.168.0.1" and find out if the modem is in "bridged mode"

  13. I would un install FF , And check again as Jeff stated to see if you are getting a DNS error, I cannot see the connection between browser and DNS error though
  14. ok, try to re-boot everything if you have not already, in order modem then PC If this doesn't work , un-install FF, ..............
  15. When did this happen , what were you doing? My bad on the bad drivers, they should be fine.
  16. ok, your drivers for the nic are either corrupted of missing, you need to first off, go into device manager , and tell me if there are any ! ? or red x's

  18. ok, typein command promt in dos window "ping 127.168.0.1" Tell me if it returns loss or four good pings
  19. ok sorry I an doing three things at once, hook the modem directly to your puter , open a browser and type 192.168.0.1 do you see the web interface?

  22. I am not sure of your problem , Re-boot everything . Unplug your modem let sit for around 2 minutes , unless there is a reset switch, then hold it in for at least 20-30 seconds. Wait until all lights are on and then router, then PC, are you using cable or dsl?
  23. To my knowledge, if the fan is not variable speed or controlled by hardware, your not going to get what you want. The fan doesn't show up , most likely no controller for this. Those baby's ran hot anyhow, I always keep canned air around to keep all heat sinks free from dust and debris. I have an old dell Lattitude XPi running win 3.1(look that one up haha), and she runs hot as hell. I also have an old Acer Extensa 711TE that will roast out as well.
