Shadyboy08 Posted August 25, 2006 CID Share Posted August 25, 2006 Still doesn't seem like it can compete with verizon fios or optimum online, even if it does get faster. Currently paying $60 for very bad connection in the nyc area!

Shadyboy08 Posted August 25, 2006 CID Share Posted August 25, 2006 It's just a general problem in my area during nights (after 8-9) (bellrose.. queens, ny). My transfer rate will be okay now since it's 5:50pm. It's been this way for months. I saw this thread and realized there are many people in the same boat as me that live in queens. Supposedly the 3-5 months of slowness during nights is due to upgrades. Someone said it should be better by the end of summer but we'll have to see. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16561694~days=9999

Gib4500 Posted June 3, 2007 CID Share Posted June 3, 2007 anyone know of any roadrunner mid-ohio upgrades. I would switch back from dsl if they increased the speed probably. But sadly the cable speeds in my area are capped at like 1-1.4 Mb download. I think they need to upgrade the cable plant in my area. Give me 10Mb download and i'll probably switch from dsl.
