That would be an interesting test.. if it soild i would put it through a benchmark test just to make sure that it is going to stay stable. Everest is good for that. been using a laser thermometer to tell me what the temp is, im going to do prime95 and 3d mark 06 when i get this thing back to geather. It's now running folding for testmy.net, at 2700 Mhz and 1.525v in BIOS. Here's a 24 hour prime screenie. Air-cooling btw, for water and extremer cooling methods higher volts can be applied. Is my motherboard undervolting or is everest reading it incorrectly? When I go to pc health stats in the bios the voltage also is 1.55. richcornucopia Posted February 19, 2006 CID Share Posted February 19, 2006 I don't know because I cranked the voltage up to 1.650 and everest says its about 1.50-1.52 and now Im stable at 2.9ghz, the bios also reports the voltage as about 1.5. Im kinda thinking its problem with the motherboard undervolting, could be my power supply idk. Hopefully somebody can give me some more information on this. dlewis23 Posted February 19, 2006 Author CID Share Posted February 19, 2006 ok been running prime95 for about 6hrs now, and not 1 error, though i did get some crashes in BF2, i put the cpu to 1.71v and rased the PCEI and Ide voltage 4% and seems to be very stable. Readings are Memory - 2.55v, AGP - 1.60v Temperature - 49C after 2 hours, while room temp is 26C.
