rsantos Posted March 11, 2006 CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 I'm using the latest version of FireFox. I'm using Sprint DSL and ZoneAlarm for a firewall. I would like to surf the net anonymously. What are some SIMPLE (easy) software options I can use ? TIA
StingRayZ Posted March 11, 2006 CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 You might try tor http://tor.eff.org/download.html.en Download the latest version 0.1.0.17 It comes with tor and privoxy. Also read the setup tutorial, it is very easy to setup but you will lose a significant amount of speed running it. There is also an extension for firefox to swicth between tor and a direct connection. Hope this helps, I am sure others will have some better ideas but this is what I have used before. Swimmer Posted March 11, 2006 CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 For some reason just about everyone wants to do this.. The only way that I have found it to actually work is through some of the paid programs.. Otherwise you can track back through the proxy to the original IP address.
