Marcin541 Posted January 3, 2005 CID Share Posted January 3, 2005 FIOS wont be out for atleast 2 years, in the best case. Although you can be in an area that already has it, but i have not seen anyone who has it yet
wingzero2309 Posted January 4, 2005 CID Share Posted January 4, 2005 i was reading the fios faq, and they say you have to use the verizon provided routers, thats crap!
Marcin541 Posted January 4, 2005 CID Share Posted January 4, 2005 Errmm, what do you mean? Ofcourse most ISP's make you use their modems that they send. I dont think any company would make FIOS modems/routers because it isnt out yet, or atleas i would think so.

Im not sure about other places or ISP's but I have COX~HSI in Tucson Az, and I can use any kind of modem I want, I did buy my modem from COX so if there was any problem they would have to deal with it. My friend bought his own modem and I did his installation and it works fine, also COX will rent a modem 2u........ Microwave
