jypagan Posted May 6, 2006 CID Share Posted May 6, 2006 For personal experience I should say the hardest part is not when you are going deploy is before you actually deploy and when you come back is also one of the most difficult times specially with the little one. When you are gone for 2-3 month you come back and you are a stranger to your kids even that they see your picture on the wall or they see you on the PC screen every day but they don't actually see you physically. When I got back I took my son about 2 weeks to get used to be with me around again.

tommie gorman Posted May 6, 2006 CID Share Posted May 6, 2006 Not to start a debate, really. But we need to finish it this time. We are not quitters. And the world at least needs to know that. We let a lot of people down last time. Just an opinion. But I am very proud of our boys and the job they are doing for us, and I also hope it is over for them soon too so our boys can come home. I have a few friends over there, and I am proud of them.
tdawnaz Posted May 18, 2006 CID Share Posted May 18, 2006 "Where'd you go? - Troop Dedication" i think he meant "where'd u serve" like...where were u stationed and what branch of the service??... tell us about ur tour of duty... right .s1?? xs1 Posted May 18, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 18, 2006 "Where'd you go? - Troop Dedication" i think he meant "where'd u serve" like...where were u stationed and what branch of the service??... tell us about ur tour of duty... right .s1?? Well you gotta put yourself in the position of the firends and loved ones. The question " whered you go ? " could mean many things to may different people. Once in that position it could be asking anything from how you put it, "whered you serve" to " where are you " allll the way to " wheres the person i loved... " from the ways war changes people. I personally talk to a good friend every night, (cell phone ) her husband is in afgan. while shes at home pregnant w/ his child. She never has a way of knowing when he'll be back or if he'll stay long or leave again... The song opens many possibilities to many forms of questions... It just depends on your situation. Thats my take on it anyway.
