asubaseball727 Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 I was just wondering, what can the speeds for download and upload reach without caps? (standard cable ie. comcast)
php Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 Didn't someone just ask this a couple weeks ago? Anyway, it depends a lot on the node traffic...
richcornucopia Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 Didn't someone just ask this a couple weeks ago? Anyway, it depends a lot on the node traffic... Probably also on the modem, if it's an older one.

Swimmer Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 38mb is the total bandwidth.. I am not sure you would ever get to see that outside of a lab.. Like php said it depends on the node and traffic on the ISP's network.. I know that back in the day, late 90s, you could get about 10mbps down and 3 or 4 up on att@home.. dlewis23 Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 if there is no traffic then your probally looking at 30-35mbps down, and 6-9mbps upload.
resopalrabotnick Posted May 23, 2006 CID Share Posted May 23, 2006 what traffic do you mean? the traffic on the connection or the traffic jam of local, state and federal authorities wanting to get to your hous first when you uncap?
