tommie gorman Posted July 3, 2006 CID Share Posted July 3, 2006 Personally I have little use for space travel myself. I feel they should at least 1/2 of what they on space travel into ocean research. We have very little real idea what is down there. And the research might help with the earth. Take care of what you have first, before polluting something else. As far as what you said resopalrabotnick it would make a nice display. I mostly enjoy the take-off, all that raw power. But it would ruin the little show. resopalrabotnick Posted July 3, 2006 CID Share Posted July 3, 2006 i find the propaganda implications for whatever nutjob group managed to destroy the shuttle on the 4th of july to be terrible. that would really be a blow.

Guest philp Posted July 3, 2006 CID Share Posted July 3, 2006 Personally I have little use for space travel myself. It used to be a lot of fun when I was younger. Of course, my "space travel" back then was drug enhanced.

dn0 Posted July 4, 2006 Author CID Share Posted July 4, 2006 They just started the 3 hour clock again. Let's hope they lift off safely today. Apparently they are not too worried about the crack in the foam.

dn0 Posted July 8, 2006 Author CID Share Posted July 8, 2006 The astronauts are currently on a spacewalk working on the robot arm. I don't see a tether, better hang on tight. Check it out: http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1369080 edit: After watching it for a few minutes, I do see their tethers..
