I have tried before. It just seems that certain times of the day it is very slow. I have been able to achieve 1.4mbps but not very often. Average for me is around 400-500. I have just learned to live with it. Any recommendations?

I do most of it daily, I hate any slow downs on sat, it is slow enough by itself. And weekly maintenance clean-up.

OK Mtal1ca this is what you do. Test on the hughes.net site for speeds. If you are doing this badly on TMN (which I get better speeds on here) it will show up for them to seriously take a look at. I very seriously think they will let you out. They live to get us on the 15 month contract. So go from there. And instead of e-mailing them just use the phone. It is easier for me anyway. They may need to redo you internet settings in internet options.

First problem with that speed is you just posted in a satelite section of the forum with embarrassing speeds for us. The best freak speed has only been a little over 5 mbps. (cox.net) is in another thread. Not that we mind the comany, you just have to post your speeds in the cox threads. AND now you got slower started, and we all know it does not take much to get him started. He is one those wriled up satelite users. (you know, the ones that are known to shoot up post offices) 

Anyway, nice speeds, wish I had 1/4 that much speed regularly.
