silverchickensofdoom Posted August 19, 2006 CID Share Posted August 19, 2006 Hi, I'm a college freshman trying to test out the connection in my room. I have a dsl connection, and I'm running Norton security suite, XP pro, with firefox, on a dell E1505 laptop. When I try to run the test the screen comes up and displays 16% complete, then just sits there much longer than any connection should. Could someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you
coknuck Posted August 19, 2006 CID Share Posted August 19, 2006 silverchickensofdoom, Welcome to the forum. Turn off Norton and take the test. Some times firewalls mess with the test. Also clear your cache before taking the test.
