FallowEarth Posted August 30, 2006 CID Share Posted August 30, 2006 Semour06, although the merge has (finally) officially been finalized, Adelphia is still currently supporting their own customers. You will not be on TWC's cable package yet. I'm not sure when this is actually going to happen, but it shouldn't be long from now. Your speedtest shows you as an Adelphia customer, because you are still on an Adelphia IP block. TWC, Comcast, and Adelphia are still working out the details as to the future of these customers. You will be notified, I'm sure. For now, you can read up here: http://www.timewarnercable.com/InvestorRelations/PressReleases/TWCPressReleaseDetail.ashx?PRID=492&MarketID=0 http://www.timewarner.com/corp/newsroom/pr/0,20812,1220821,00.html <hr> Also, you can attach pictures to your post. Below the text box in the post screen, click Additional Options. You can then browse to and attach the picture to your post.
porsche6714 Posted August 30, 2006 CID Share Posted August 30, 2006 Accoring to the TWC tech guys they told me up to a year for the switch over from adelphia to timewarner to take place. This is in Western New York though.
dlewis23 Posted August 30, 2006 CID Share Posted August 30, 2006 a year thats a long time, down here in Florida we already have places that have been switched over or are about to be switched over to comcast from adelphia.
mudmanc4 Posted August 30, 2006 CID Share Posted August 30, 2006 In Ohio , they don't say when but it will be a blessing I'm sure, The locals are awsome here, they'll go way out of there way. But get on the horn, W/ a phone booger and they are reluctant to move you to a higher level tech that actually knows what packets are..haha. Oh well, hurry-up TWC
porsche6714 Posted August 31, 2006 CID Share Posted August 31, 2006 i personally dont care that much when the switch takes place as long as they dont mess with my internet. As long as it works i'm happy. And besides having my e-mail address changed not much is going to be different. They said my download speed would increase from 4000kbps to 7000kbps but my upload still stays at a mere 384kbps. Wish they would change that.
