tommie gorman Posted November 8, 2006 CID Share Posted November 8, 2006 And again welcome to the forum shiva1 You know about as much as I did when I started here. It grows on you after a while. Sit back and enjoy a soda out of the fridge and grab a sack of popcorn while you are at it, and have a little fun while you are here. bryanlautt Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 nice download, but the upload is kinda slow for the download Yeah i think the upload should be faster but i guess it could be if you want to pay an extra 100 bucks a month to get the 1500 upload lol i think i'll just settle for the 768 for 95, kinda crazy though since even mediacom in this area are going to at least 1000 for the upload and thats for the residential. oh well any little bit helps out just whish Midco would get off there butt and bump things up faster especially the upload because we all know that you can have a real fast download but the server you are visiting will only send the data to you as fast as it is setup to do so. but Midco has there own backbone which is nice in some aspect, actually they have two networks when one goes down the other picks up the load. Shug7272 Posted November 25, 2006 CID Share Posted November 25, 2006 How bout this one? Welcome to the site, and nice speeds. Why the large variation in test scores though, your history goes from the "meh not too bad" speed test to the "DAMN  " speed test. Loki slow at the end or not, nice none the less. StilleVande Posted November 25, 2006 CID Share Posted November 25, 2006 Heh, on my workstation, had some CPU intensive applications going The company I work for sits directly on top of the sonet ring in Dallas and we have 5 OC48 connections in this one building. So my download rate on my PC is relative to the CPU usage on my box, or the machine on the other end.
