coolbuster2007 Posted November 2, 2007 CID Share Posted November 2, 2007 that is correct. there could be 4-6 Access Points (APs) in one base station. in one city there are at least 2 base stations to cater to smart cellphones and smartbro wireless internet. smartbroken_user Posted November 2, 2007 CID Share Posted November 2, 2007 maybe you're talking about APs? my location is south of the base station 2009 feet away. i know its the basestation coz its a tower of smart. it contains 6 APs (6X60=360degrees) . 3 of which i can switch to. if you're really talking about basestations, then you have to redirect/realign your canopy, hoping to find other basestations. yah yah access points, thanx for correcting , TSR always use the word base station instead of access point that's why. coolbuster2007 Posted November 2, 2007 CID Share Posted November 2, 2007 this is what we are talking about. 6 APs in a pole.
Guest ExtremeFusion Posted November 6, 2007 CID Share Posted November 6, 2007 this is what we are talking about. 6 APs in a pole. hmmm that being the case.. isn't there any device that could amplify or could further enhance the reception of the signal from the ap's to our canopy? or in other say, a device that wouldn't just limit our canopy to a "direct line of sight" reception method. In simple theory, focused and contrated signal on our canopy means stronger stable connection.. Am i right or wrong?

Am i right or wrong? hmm, you mean, something that would change the "direct line of sight" reception to say, a "radius" reception? i don't think that is possible, since it is in the canopy's design. a sattelite dish connected to the canopy only improves range, and a stinger only reduces air noise.
