monsnet2k8 Posted January 26, 2007 CID Share Posted January 26, 2007 I Received a call from my cousin last night telling me that his computer might be infected. Yes, his computer was infected, But i never would have thought that he had so many infections. Most viruses were Trojan's of all sorts plus others not mentioned. Kaspersky picked up and neutralized all of them versus Norton on his system that only picked up 120 and couldn't disinfect or delete half of those.. Kspersky has been my choice for anti virus software and here's the proof.
tommie gorman Posted January 26, 2007 CID Share Posted January 26, 2007 Yeah, Norton bites in my book too. I would not pay a dime for their protection, if you can call it that.

tommie gorman Posted January 26, 2007 CID Share Posted January 26, 2007 Yeah Kapersky is best, if you can afford the money for the extra wee bit of protection you get. I will stay where I am at, thank you, and free.
ninjageek Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 The question is did he learn his lesson? My guess would be playing a bit to much in the file sharing dept. I can never imagine getting that much from the net. But I have been wrong before. Props to who ever takes care of this web site. I use a browser not to many others do. Opera. This site works great with my browser.
cak46 Posted January 28, 2007 CID Share Posted January 28, 2007 You may want to consider having your cousin running Spybot, Lavasofts' Adaware, and Awido. All of which are free. I've found that there is no software program that cleans everything...
monsnet2k8 Posted February 2, 2007 Author CID Share Posted February 2, 2007 Yeah, Norton bites in my book too. I would not pay a dime for their protection, if you can call it that. I learned the hard way with Norton... Never again. HOLY SHIT.... Thats awesome. That boy done been to a couple too many porno sites. Actually he didn't. I found many corrupted and apps that were infected. Both is wife and him use the computer and i found no porn at all. :2funny: :2funny: At least he's gettin it done regular :2funny: He has never had good virus protection. He had Norton and Outpost. And , his comp is the only thing infected :haha: You're funny. He's a Doctor. Who knows. :haha: I have said it before and will continue saying it,
ninjageek Posted February 2, 2007 CID Share Posted February 2, 2007 2300 ?? Really? how in the world did he get that infected?
tommie gorman Posted February 2, 2007 CID Share Posted February 2, 2007 So the consenses is that porn is safer for your computer than file sharing. Damn if I do not learn something new everyday.

monsnet2k8 Posted February 2, 2007 Author CID Share Posted February 2, 2007 Yea you get attacked everywhere nowdays. I reload windows about once a month and skip all the other crap. True. But i don't do that too often. With the protection i have i don't worry any longer. I can go anywhere knowing that i will be protected without being infected.
