really? and i have always used firefox to take speed tests. well,here's what i got.

Download Connection is:: 236 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 579 kB)

Download Speed is:: 29 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Main)

Test Time:: 2007/08/17 - 5:10am

Bottom Line:: 4X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 35.31 sec

Tested from a 579 kB file and took 20.093 seconds to complete

Download Diagnosis:: 90% + Okay : running at 96.72 % of your hosts average (smartbro.net)

yeah, but that rssi is still low. best bet would be to adjust the direction of the canopy.

@scriva - is your canopy facing a building? looks like your installers didn'ttaketimeto give you a proper ap connection.

No, my canopy has a clear sight of the tower it's just a few blocks away from my house.

i dont know his exact location.

wtf!!! I think the slow speed was my fault!!

See, this morning i downloaded some registry from jzlr...or something like that. Then I turned off the computer because i went out. Then, I came back and tested the speed and the slow speed was what I got.

Then I remembered that I made a system restore point before doing those then...

hmm, just noticed, i made a mistake in my previous post. that's online, not offline. anyway,i have made the great leap. after struggling for 6 hours, i am now using xubuntu, and i think it's doing fine without cablenut and tcpoptimizer. i think i can crank some more speed out of it though.
