coolbuster2007 Posted January 21, 2008 CID Share Posted January 21, 2008 got this definition of a mirror site from http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/m/mirror_site.htm A Web site that is a replica of an already existing site, used to reduce network traffic (hits on a server) or improve the availability of the original site. Mirror sites are useful when the original site generates too much traffic for a single server to support. Mirror sites also increase the speed with which files or Web sites can be accessed: users can download files more quickly from a server that is geographically closer to them. Anyways, i got mine tested on a mirror. dug this from history

Thanks. i also lost those values in my cablenut early this month which forced me to restore back my system. BTW, does all restore points disappear once you restore back? coz i wanted to do one more step back but all my restore points are gone. I think i did a step in one forum that said to disable system restore (don't ask what I was doin'.. ). I may have forgotten to enable it (but why was I able to see them before I restore?). My bad. Anyway... all's well.
