icg1032 Posted March 5, 2007 CID Share Posted March 5, 2007 Great speeds there. I was out in Arizona last week and couldn't get those download speeds on Cox. Got the upload fine though. Maybe their computer needs some tweaking, but since it isn't mine, I didn't want to mess with it. LOL

Mordir Posted March 6, 2007 Author CID Share Posted March 6, 2007 Latest off my wireless connection. Did some tweaking. Another family member is using the wired computer for WOW. Used VanBuren's newest versions (9). NOT using a firewall. I am going to bed, best I can do for now. Advertised speeds are 121. Price is 59. I think this is steep. I just know that someone out there can beat the score. I use a G only wireless connection with aespsk2 security. PS. as long as you are smart and careful, a router is all you need. Mordir Posted March 7, 2007 Author CID Share Posted March 7, 2007 Yeah its 12 down and 1 up. For the kind of money I am paying I think it should be more. Sure it's fast but other people seem to pay less with other services and get more. Thanks for asking my friend!

disturbed Posted March 30, 2007 CID Share Posted March 30, 2007 im having very tough time with cox this year.....my speeds went from 8mb down to literally .6 mb down since mid february.........ever since then I have been calling tech support trying to get them to do something about it..........5 of them have been over and they all concluded the same thing, that there is something wrong with one of their main lines, but they still kept sending people over.... finally, few days ago, after a month of bothering them every couple of days they put in a work order for some mini stack or whatever to be replaced, which should resolve the problem

mogramjo Posted April 26, 2007 CID Share Posted April 26, 2007 I just got a pleasant surprise on the TMN largest dnld 17,164...loaded at 14,627 as you see below. I seem some real nice speeds here on this new topic. I began loving Cox better after I moved my 'office' to nearest where my cable comes into my place...with none but one split from there. Connectivity was horrible before that and we (tech and/or me) couldn't find anything wrong. Happy now though
