jkubik Posted August 9, 2007 CID Share Posted August 9, 2007 For about the past month I keep getting intermittent DNS lookup errors. I have reset my DW7000 many times and the problem always returns. I got an error when trying to browse to google! I'm almost positive that the error is with the HughesNet DNS servers. Is anyone else having the same problems? Thanks

zeddlar Posted August 10, 2007 CID Share Posted August 10, 2007 Aye, I have seen it in other forums several times as of late. I changed from a router to a hub and it fixed mine but obviously if you have a wireless network this info wont help you and many say that like posted above that flushing your DNS helps. keetan Posted August 10, 2007 CID Share Posted August 10, 2007 Do a traceroute on that ip(s). Can you tell me whom it routes thru? Oh, and whom does Hughes DNS partner with to get thier DNS?!
Jeremy_WI Posted August 11, 2007 CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 I was having a real problem with DNS errors and page not found until I updated my network drivers. For windows users you can go to control panel/system/device manager then expand network adapters, right click on the network adapter and select update driver. Mine is a realtek rtl8139 and they have drivers on their website dated July 2007
sparky Posted September 9, 2007 CID Share Posted September 9, 2007 It seems like there is a lot of this lately, I myself have just got off the phone with Level 2 tech support over on going issues with DNS, web acceleration issues and much more. So far what ever the guy from New York did seems to be working ok!
sparky Posted September 17, 2007 CID Share Posted September 17, 2007 I got rid of it, some of the above issues was what I was getting, not no more, Hughes net, YOU SUCK, now I canceled it and I am going back to dial up.
