mudmanc4 Posted April 16, 2009 Author CID Share Posted April 16, 2009 1231, that's actually in the top range for your satellite isn't it ? I'm still serious about changing to it, I just made a few changes w/ TWC as far DVR boxes and there VioIP, right now I'm paying the standard rate (which is ten bucks more ) just to stay out of the contract, so I can move ISP's when I want. It's worth not being tied down like that for two years.
tommie gorman Posted April 17, 2009 CID Share Posted April 17, 2009 So you would rather be tied to hughesnet for 2 years? By the way for the las two years I have been on Sprint EVDO Rev. A. And in my opinion its better than satelite. It had a bit better D/L speeds, but in real life it was slower than this, and this is portable too. Put in the mac laptop and go. And no weather problems. If it rains, gets ice on the dish, or has weather at the sat headquarters again the same. I'd never go back. Only good things about sat is if there is nothing else. Like Katrina it was up and running in a day where nothing else was available. If you are camping. But other wise its slow. Hey ............. I'll trade you all my old satelite equipment for your cable setup. I'll even deliver it.
