compute_d Posted August 23, 2008 CID Share Posted August 23, 2008 So true, I was surprised the tech returned my call @ all. My upload is supposed to be in the 20 mb range, but so far only getting about 16300, not sure if I can get around the overhead on the connection though. Might try cycling the modem, lol. They said they MAY send me a new one though, we'll see next week.
Blunted 2 Posted August 23, 2008 CID Share Posted August 23, 2008 I could get that 50/20 but I don't use the 20/20 that I have now so 50/20 would be a waste for me for $25 more a month. BTW you have to tweak your computer most of the time to get that speed and I get 24.4 mb upload to some sites with my 20/20 so i'm sure you can get the speed. I can get just under 21 mb to this site

onestep2 Posted September 3, 2008 CID Share Posted September 3, 2008 It took 3 months for rr to admit they had the modem provisioned wrong- no matter how many times I showed them it was way off. When they finally offered to rewire- and add an amp for the condo for better HDTV (if I get one)- I thought I was hallucinating. I've been missing Adelphia! the service has been so bad around here. Then I started getting mail for AT&T U-verse- suddenly the rr co-operation began. How long will it last- till they choke the system with VOIP and their movies and every blade is overfilled...another week, maybe? I'll enjoy it while it lasts. latah- onestep2
