i work at walmart and we clearanced an 1100.00 20" LCD TV down to 350.00 . i jumped at the savings and bought it before it hit the sales floor thinking i could do something with it for 350.00.  i want to know if it's possible to connect it up to my computer and use as a moniter. on the cover it said the TV has 640X800 resolution, but said nothing about convering it to a computer in the manual.  thanks all!

anyone know what the adapter is called?

Does it have the DVI connector?

Looks kinda like a 25 pin serial plug, but the holes in the female end are square.

Will check back if I find a picture....

This page has a couple of examples: http://www.cablestogo.com/resources/dvi.asp

They even have DVI to standard analog adapters, which may work....

Amazing that no one has asked the model of the unit.

OP, what is the TV?  Is it the Olevia?

If so, there should be a dSub 15 Pin VGA monitor connector on the back or side.

If it's a different unit, get us the model number so we can better advise you.
