disturbed Posted July 11, 2005 CID Share Posted July 11, 2005 if you need a simple/effective remote assistance tool other than the one provided by microsoft - u can try TightVnc - its free and easy to use
miffy Posted July 11, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 11, 2005 I live in Georgia my tech lives is Orgeon. And he is the one trying to fix a few things on my computer. He can send me files all day long but I cannot send files to him. This is through windows messenger 5.1 We did remote assistance 1 time so I know it works. Nothing else was changed. And now it doesnt work. I have turned off all firewalls during our sessions to no avail. If it were an option I would go to cable but I am in the sticks out here and even dialup is long distance for me, I have called Directway and they always bypass the issue by saying reboot the system and making sure of the connections , the dish ect.. But never once addressing the issue of me trying to get remote assistance with my tech. I have tried the tight program and even it doesnt work.
