CA3LE Posted November 8, 2004 CID Share Posted November 8, 2004 I've been running tests on other sites and I get a huge variation between 7 Mbps and 25 Mbps, however this here is the one I've always used since I find it the most reliable. Why thank you, keep visiting... glad to see you in the forum.

xs1 Posted November 8, 2004 CID Share Posted November 8, 2004 atleast thats what i heard VanBuren not as hard as you would think I did it once with RR , they found out within minutes, re-programed the modem and shut my service for 3 days pending the signing of the " i wouldnt do it again by penilty of law" papers. The only reason they let me off the hook is because i claimed computer illiteracy ::: edit ::: and no, it has nothing to do with opening the modem lol
Angel_j_d Posted November 9, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 9, 2004 Actually I don't know haw to uncap a modem or anything about stealing nobody's bandwith, I'm developing a software that "gives the impression of a Mega super fast connection" But my actual download speed is 1.3 Mbits even though to the eyes of the world (Particularly my customers) my conection is of 15 MBits. Trust me, nothing illegal here, not even the software installed on my computers, just having fun legally. If you are interested, what this softeare does, is to download only a small part of the images, somehow like zipping the images from the internet, the result is a poorly displayed image, but you wouldn
CA3LE Posted November 9, 2004 CID Share Posted November 9, 2004 Also, most download tests, use pictures to measure download. TestMy.net does not use images for testing, it used compressed data... can you explain how you still scored so high... the data I use is compressed to the point where it can't be compressed further... your program would have to drop data off to make this possible... Angel_j_d Posted November 9, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 9, 2004 I don't know how it managed to recompresse data, it just does, and it does up to 70%, otherwise, I would never be showing these results If I disable my little program, test results don't ever go over 800 Kbits About the usefulness, as I told you earlier, I own a Cyber cafe, down in M

Angel_j_d Posted November 9, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 9, 2004 Program is based 95% on AT&T's Runner 2 in fact I started testing with it with very similar results, unfortunately, it's only good for one computer and I needed something for 40 + computers, so I started rewriting the program with the help of some pals Regards
Angel_j_d Posted November 9, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 9, 2004 Should you manage to get it and get it running, please let me know if you could use it in more than one computer dimultaneously, that'll save us a lot of work here Regards
