resopalrabotnick Posted October 13, 2005 CID Share Posted October 13, 2005 sounds like your memory optimizer has a memory leak. and no, not making fun, it's the technical term for when a prog doesn't release memory to the os when it's done with it. uninstall the mem optimizer. should help. and be sure your swap file is on auto. lorne Posted October 17, 2005 CID Share Posted October 17, 2005 Ps I am also runing mcaffe and Avast and AVG This could very likely be the problem. Not only do AVs use a fair bit of ram (which you are a little low on) they interfere with eachother and can cause all sorts of instability. I would reccomend only using 1 AV program

Marcin541 Posted October 18, 2005 CID Share Posted October 18, 2005 Installing more than one wont save you from viruses btw.
raptors892004 Posted October 18, 2005 CID Share Posted October 18, 2005 And if Mcafee has the firewall, you should uninstall it or Zone Alarm because it is not good to have 2 firewalls running at the same time..
