I instaled a memory optimiser that shows me the amnt of free momry left.. it seems to go to 0 and then my comp restarts.. this all sarted after i instaled zone alarm pro on my comp. So my question is is tehre any software orinted thing i can do or only hardware? resopalrabotnick Posted October 13, 2005 CID Share Posted October 13, 2005 sounds like your memory optimizer has a memory leak. and no, not making fun, it's the technical term for when a prog doesn't release memory to the os when it's done with it. uninstall the mem optimizer. should help. and be sure your swap file is on auto. Not only do AVs use a fair bit of ram (which you are a little low on) they interfere with eachother and can cause all sorts of instability.
