Try F8 after boot-up(but before Windows Start up screen) and select 'safe-mode'

~ you might get in as administrator ~ then goto 'User Accounts' in Control Panel'

and change everything to your liking.

(I think there might be a control key combo you can hold down during 'safe-mode' to bypass passwords?)

Or try some googles;

. . .or ask dad for $195. to re-set passwords.

Windows XP / 2000 / NT Key

US $195.00

. . .the nerve of some exploits to charge people!!!  ~  lol

and if you have a valid key you can activate any winxp pro disc you come across with it. of course this is true only as long as the guy you bought the thing from hasn't reused it himself. your best bet is to get a hold of the previous owner and figure out what's what.

If you're on XP on the computer you have now, you can get the re-install cd for it and just use it for the laptop (I think that's what everyone else is saying).

Personally, I would get a hold of the owner and try to get some money back for having to go through all this shit...

Hey man, lemme see if I can get you an image of this, just don't tell anyone:

The Locksmith program allows to to change the password on any account, never fails either. The program, ERD Commander, just runs like a live version of windows. Anyone know how to image it?  ;)
