raptors892004 Posted November 2, 2005 CID Share Posted November 2, 2005 i had a similar problem where with use of most bandwidth of the internet line, my router would just stop working.. i changed the cable that connects the modem to the router and for a couple of days, my internet is fine (no disconnections).. since your internet speed drops and comes back up, maybe its something with the hardware or cables.. have u tried leaving the router off for a couple of hours and then seeing what the speeds are? I've found out what the matter is, the ISP has a Fair Usage Policy and apparently I fall into the 'over usage' and I share bandwith with other people during peak!!!!!
